|The Beatles - The Capitol Albums
Vol. 1 (4CD box set)
This is how The Beatles came to America - Capitol Records had their own compilations.
Many of us grew up listening to them this way - in exactly these track sequences, and sometimes
with more echo than on the UK versions. Now for the first time on CD, in their original artwork,
featuring both stereo on mono US versions of the albums on each disc:
Meet The Beatles! - The Beatles' Second Album - Something New - Beatles '65
|The Beatles - Yellow Submarine (book!)
You know the CD, you know the DVD. Did you know that there is a brand-new book out, too?
This is a wonderful, a colorful book which tells the well-known story, using Heinz Edelmann's
original art from the movie. Great for the kids who want to know more behind the songs. And
I bet YOU will also enjoy reading it!
|John Lennon: Acoustic (CD)
16 tracks with just John and his acoustic guitar. And there really is a lot of previously unreleased
material, even if you own the box set Lennon Anthology (7 tracks in bold font are totally new):
1. Working Class Hero 2. Love 3. Well Well Well 4. Look At Me 5. God
6. My Mummy's Dead 7. Cold Turkey 8. Luck Of The Irish 9. John Sinclair
10. Woman Is The Nigger Of The World 11. What You Got 12. Watching The Wheels
13. Dear Yoko 14. Real Love 15. Imagine 16. It's Real
|John Lennon: Lennon Legend & Gimme Some
Truth (2DVD set)
Now available in many countries: a 2 DVD set of this previously available titles. What makes
those DVDs so special - Lennon Legend is videos of John's greatest solo songs, presented
in absolute stunning and crisp picture and unbelievably great 5.1 remixes! The same goes for
Gimmie Some Truth which is a documentary on the making of the Imagine album, again remixed
into 5.1 sound. And mind you, these are not mock 5.1 remixes. They were all done using the
multitrack tapes, at Abbey Road Studios in London, England! Of course, both discs come with
lots of bonus stuff.
|Each One Believing (book)
Photographer Bill Bernstein has been working as Paul's photographer for 15 years.
Presented here are the best shots from Paul's 2002/2003 tours, starting right after 9/11,
until the legendary concert in Moscow. And these aren't just concert photos - on stage,
off stage and backstage says the book title - and there are many special moments
captured inside, like meeting Gorbachev, Jack Nicholson or Brian Wilson. Caroline
Grimshaw put together all the detailed background information. This book is really
extraordinary, I have never seen any book that's been put together so well. If you love
Paul, you will definitely need it!
|The Music And Animation Collection (DVD)
Yes, this is about the frog song! But wait, there's much much more. Remember when they
showed Paul and Geoff Dunbar during the making of Tropic Island Hum, back in 1996 in
the "In the world tonight" special? Tropic Island Hum is FINALLY out:
|The Dark Horse Years 1976 - 1992 (DVD)
Finally available separately from the box set of the same name, this DVD contains:
|Concert for George (2 DVD)
|Postcards From The Boys (book)
Sensationally presented, this book features 53 postcards sent by John Lennon,
George Harrison and Paul McCartney to Ringo Starr. The superb facsimile reproductions
complete with the occasional drawing, depict both the spontaneous wit and art of the
Beatles. The reproduction of the postcards is supplemented by a revealing text from
Ringo explaining the meaning behind the cards and cocumenting the corresponding
moments in his life. This visually stunning and intriguing book is, quite simply, a
must-have for anyone interested in the story of the Beatles phenomenon.
