Sir Paul and Heather reunited today to celebrate the third birthday of their daughter Beatrice at a 2-hour party held at Clambers Play Centre in Hastings, East Sussex, near Sir Paul's home in Peasmarsh. The family were dressed casually. Sir Paul wore a striped, hooded jacket and jeans and Heather a simple black dress and stylish white coat. Beatrice was dressed in a pretty pale-pink party dress, with her soft blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail.
Beatrice and about 15 adults and children enjoyed watching children's entertainers before having a birthday tea. Beatrice appeared to be having fun, giggling with glee as her father swung her about in the air. According one of the mother's at the play center:
"Bea looked lovely and seemed to be having a wonderful time. If I did not know what had been going on in their marriage in the last few months, I would never have guessed. Bea was smiling and laughing just like any other child having a whale of a time on her birthday."
Another onlooker remarked:
"Beatrice was happily playing with her mum and dad without a care in the world. Paul and Heather were determined to get on to give Beatrice a fantastic birthday. They chatted to one another and looked happy. It was astonishing considering what's gone on between them over the last few weeks. They obviously did not want to spoil Bea's day."
All the guests were seen leaving with yellow balloons and party bags. Paul left the party carrying Bea and drove off in a chauffeur-driven car. Heather left 10 minutes later carrying the remains of the birthday cake.
