During an exhibition of her work last week at the Vinopolis Gallery, Mary McCartney Donald had a few words to say in defense of her little sister, Stella. Earlier in the week, a former BBC Clothes Show presenter, Jeff Banks, had described Stella's fashion designs as "amateurish" and suggested that her fame was the result of being the daughter of a "very rich father". Mary's opinion of Mr. Banks was published in today's Sunday Telegraph where she is quoted as saying:
"He's obviously just jealous. You have to ask yourself, 'Why would he say that?' He must have an agenda. Of all the things to complain about in the world, I can think of so many I would put ahead of this. This is just a result of his jealousy at her success."
Mary's fashion photography exhibition at the Vinopolis Gallery was held to advertise a new line of clothing for Marks & Spencer.
