According to an article published in today's Sun, Sir Paul is in the process of finalizing plans to hold a concert in Beijing, China's Tiananmen Square. You may recall that back in 1989, the vast square was the scene of a massive and bloody altercation between young people demonstrating for democracy and the Chinese army who were trying to supress them. In the end, hundreds were killed.
Sir Paul also would like to perform in Moscow's Red Square. The Sun quotes a tour insider as saying, "They will be two of the most important gigs ever and will provide a message of peace and love."
