Sir Paul's daughter, Mary McCartney Donald, is lending her photography talents to the fight against breast cancer. Just four days before giving birth to her baby boy, Mary completed a celebrity haute couture fashion shoot that appears in the October 2002 issue of Harpers & Queen. To promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Mary has donated prints of these photographs of Jade Jagger, Emily Mortimer, Natascha McElhone, Rosamund Pike, Vanessa Redgrave, Lamya, Kirsty Hume and Tracey Emin to be sold by silent auction to benefit the breast cancer charity, Breakthrough.
Having lost her mother to the disease, Mary stated:"When a loved one is touched by cancer it becomes instinctive to want to help others who find themselves in similar situations and to support the charities that work for relief against cancer."The prints will be on exhibit in South Kensington at the B&B Italia contemporary furniture store from September 17-30. The auction will take place on September 30. Full details of how to place a bid for these prints can be found in the "Image Conscious" article featured in the October 2002 issue of Harpers & Queen.
