National Vegetarian Week starts today. To mark the event, Sir Paul appears in a short film produced by Viva as part of the organization's campaign against factory farm practices. The film will be shown at a national march and rally to be held in Kennington Park in central London on Saturday, July 13.
The film seeks to illustrate caused by factory farming. In the film, Sir Paul states:"There are a whole lot of things wrong with our planet at the moment. We hear a lot of words from big business and from Government but they don't seem to do much about it. But we can do something about it. We can help the environment, we can help end cruelty to animals and we can help improve our own health, and all you have to do is go vegetarian."Sir Paul has also offered his support to the Consumers for Health Choice (CHC) organization's efforts to resist the Food Supplements Directive passage of which could lead to the banning of many safe and popular vitamins and minerals, and the imposition of unnecessary limits on the potency of many dietary supplements.
