Will wedding bells be ringing for Sir Paul and Heather Mills tomorrow? And if so, will they be ringing in Ireland or the Hamptons? Happily for Sir Paul, his secret is still safe.
Cindy Adams, the veteran New York Post gossip columnist, claims that she knows all the details: Sir Paul will be wed at Castle Leslie in County Monaghan, Ireland; the service will take place a 3:00 p.m. in a nearby village church; a champagne reception will take place at Castle Leslie after the ceremony; the McCartney's 300 guests (family and friends - no celebrities) will dine on an Indian vegetarian buffet from 14-inch gold serving plates in a marquee erected in the grounds; two more tents will be available for for dancing and entertainment. Ms Adams' article goes on to say, "Hired hands are sworn to secrecy. But I even know the menu - 100 per cent vegetarian."
A Castle Leslie spokeswoman denied the story saying, "There have been rumors going about but I can say it's not happening here." This could well be true since another New York Post article is reporting that the wedding will take place today or over the weekend in the Hamptons on New York's Long Island at the home of Linda's brother, John Eastman.
In any event, lately there has been quite a bit of activity at Castle Leslie. According to one castle source:"Everyone has been sworn to secrecy about this but I can say that it has been booked out for two weeks. There have been people coming in over the last 24 hours putting up tents and setting up chairs. It all looks like a wedding to me and word among the staff is it could be on Wednesday or Thursday. But Paul has also been planting decoys all around the world. He has hired a team to work on keeping the press away from the event. He wants to keep everyone guessing until the last possible minute. He really has no choice or it will turn into a complete frenzy."We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
