Oobu Joobu has been aired only in the USA so far. There are no plans yet to release it elsewhere, and it's very unlikely that this happens in the near future, as the Beatles Anthology project will start soon and Paul certainly doesn't want to interfere with it!
This is the official announcement of Westwood One Radio Networks:
JOIN WESTWOOD ONE AS WE OFFER A PROGRAM CREATED, DIRECTED, AND PRESENTED BY PAUL McCARTNEY
Each week we can eavesdrop on Paul McCartney to hear:
and many, many, more rarities . . .
DEBUT/ OOBU JOOBU - PAUL McCARTNEY RADIO SERIES Memorial Day Weekend Special May 26 - 29, 1995 Length: 2 Hours WEEKLY/OOBU JOOBU - PAUL McCARTNEY RADIO SERIES Weekly program to run for 13 weeks May 29 - August 21, 1995 Length: 1 Hour/Weekly FINALE/ OOBU JOOBU - PAUL McCARTNEY RADIO SERIES Labor Day Special September 1- 4, 1995 HOST: Paul McCartney
Unfortunately, the radio broadcasts are over - and many have missed them because only very few stations actually carried it. And no one in Europe could hear the shows.
But of course some clever bootleggers realised that there is enough demand for the show on the black market - and so "Yellow Cat Records" decided to release the complete show on CD - without the commercials but with so far unreleased bonus tracks! The CDs are in chrystal clear quality because they have been taken directly from the master CDs distributed by Westwood One Radio Networks. T
