Yesterday, Stella McCartney's autumn/winter 2005 fashion show earned rave reviews from the critic. Although she wasn't able to be in Paris attend the show at the Palais Brognicourt. Stella saw to it that each guest found one of her "hand written" notes placed their chair that read:
"I am so sorry I cannot be with you all today. I would like to say a big thank you to all my team ... and dedicate this show to my husband Alasdhair and our six-day-old baby boy ... Miller."
Stella had intended to be in Paris for her show, but those plans changed when baby Miller decided to arrive two weeks early. Reports state that Stella worked on the collection hours before going into labor, then went back to work on the final details of her 36-piece runway show from her London hospital bed a few hours after giving birth last Friday. Working with digital photos of her creations, Stella was able to remain in contact with her design team up until show time yesterday. Today she begins 6 weeks of maternity leave after which time she will start working on her spring/summer collection.
