Sir Paul and Heather joined Ringo Starr and Olivia and Dhani Harrison for the British premiere of the tribute film, A Concert for George Harrison. The gala screening was held at the Odeon in Leicester Square .Remembering his friend George, Sir Paul said:
"Our feelings will never change for George. We loved the happy times and we're sad that George is gone. It's a great film, it was a great night and it was lovely to take part in it and to be here with all our friends. We loved him. He was a lovely man, and all these friends came together on this very special night."
Olivia Harrison spoke as well, saying :
"This is a gathering of George's close friends and family, so it's always going to be emotional. This concert pays tribute to someone we all loved. I think he'd enjoy it."
Their son, Dhani, added:
"It was very cathartic. The grieving process doesn't have to be a solemn affair. There were only a small amount of people that could be in the Albert Hall so it's good that this is coming out now."
Other guests at the event included Harrison's friends Eric Clapton, Robbie Coltrane, and former racing driver Damon Hill.
Earlier in the week, stories were circulating that Heather had let it slip that the couple is expecting a baby boy. Sir Paul seemed irritated when reporters asked Heather if the stories were true. He told the reporters, "I don't think you can ask that kind of question."
