September 17-20, 2003 marks Saks Fifth Avenue's Key to the Cure shopping weekend in a effort to help raise funds and awareness in the fight against women's cancers. During those days, a percentage of all sales at the Saks Fifth Avenue stores will go to support research into breast cancer and womens reproductive cancers.
During the month of September, actress Nicole Kidman will appear in a national public service announcements wearing Saks Fifth Avenue's Key to the Cure T-shirt designed by Stella McCartney. Danskin has underwritten the manufacture of Stella's shirt, which enables 100 percent of its $29 retail price to go directly to the cancer charity. The T-shirt went on sale in Saks Fifth Avenue stores on September 1. Only 12,000 shirts have been made and will be available both in the stores and over Saks Fifth Avenue online for a limited time only.
