Since Wednesday evening, Stella and Alasdhair's wedding guests been arriving on the Isle of Bute. Today, Madonna, her husband, Guy Ritchie, and at least one of their children were ferried to the island aboard a small Scottish ferry. Kate Moss, Chrissie Hynde, and Coldplay's Chris Martin joined locals for a drink in the Station Bar at Wemyss Bay on the mainland before boarding their CalMac ferry. The party arrived in Rothesay harbor around 7:35 this evening and were taken directly to the Mount Stuart estate in two Range Rovers. Liv Tyler had arrived at the estate earlier in the evening in a chauffeur-driven Jaguar.
Earlier in the day, groom Alasdhair Willis was photographed cruising around the west coast of Scotland on a £6 million yacht called The Drum which once belonged to Simon Le Bon. Mr. Le Bon nearly drowned on the yacht back in 1985 when it overturned in storms off Cornwall during the Fastnet race. He and five other members of the crew were trapped below deck in a pocket of air before being rescued. Speaking at the MTV Video Music Awards in New York, Mr. Le Bon said: "Good luck Alasdhair. I honestly hope The Drum brings you better luck that it did me." The yacht is now owned by Scottish car dealer, Arnold Clark.
There was a bit of excitement on the island earlier in the day when a fire broke out at Mount Stuart House, thought to have been started in the food preparation area.
