Last week, rumors circulated that Sir Paul had been seen strolling along the beach on the Isle of Bute. This fueled speculation that Stella's wedding was indeed about to take place on the island's majestic Mount Stuart House. Today, Scotland's Sunday Express reports that the owners of the house are angry and say all this talk is just an elaborate hoax which has had a negative effect on their business. According to the head of the Mount Stuart Trust, Danny Jamieson:
"It has been a major hoax and we are considering changing our Internet address to something like www. redherring. com because it's just not true. We have a big convention in August and there have been assumptions that it is this wedding, but that is not the case. All this has been a major interruption."
In addition, no wedding banns have been posted outside the local council office as required by law. City councillor, Len Scoullar, told the newspaper:
"There has been nothing posted for the couple as yet in terms of wedding banns. There's definitely been nothing to suggest any wedding."
So now, once again, the press is saying that the wedding will take place on the Mull of Kintyre.
