In late October, Concorde service on British Airways will cease. Sir Paul was a frequent flyer on Concorde, crossing the ocean from London to New York in a mere three hours and 15 minutes (and with the time difference, he usually arrived in New York an hour earlier than he departed from the U.K.)
In today's New York Times, Joseph De Feo, chief executive of CLS Bank International in New York, reminisces about a London to New York Concorde flight he took shortly after the September 11 terrorist attacks when he found himself seated behind Sir Paul and Heather Mills. Mr. De Feo recalls:"We struck up a conversation about all the things he was doing to help raise money for the victims and their families. He was really, really a gentleman."
