The Express reports today that Sir Paul caused a bit of a panic when he arrived for lunch on Saturday at the National Portrait Gallery restaurant. Apparently, they didn't know he was coming and there were no window tables available. Sir Paul and Heather would not be able to enjoy the views of Trafalgar Square, Whitehall and Big Ben from the top floor restaurant. One waitress confessed:"It was really embarrassing. He came half way through the restaurant and we didn't have a table by the window for him. Thankfully he didn't mind at all. He and his wife just sat at another table for a few minutes then moved over."Another member of the restaurant staff added:"I wouldn't say he's a regular but he does come here from time to time and never books a table under his own name. He wants to keep it quiet, I suppose."Sir Paul enjoyed a lunch of "copious quantities of lettuce" while Heather daintily nibbled on a bowl of chips.
