Today's Daily Star published this report from DJ Jono Coleman:"I'VE been reading great reports of Paul McCartney's first Euro shows in Paris and I must let you in on a secret. Just before Macca flew to France, me and Emma Forbes got a call from Jeff Baker (Macca's press manager) telling us the 'Heather pregnant' stories were untrue. And he said: 'I'm out at the London Arena. Would you like to come and watch Paul and the band rehearse for the UK and Europe gigs?'
"I said: 'Watch Macca rehearse with the full band and hundreds of punters?'
"He said: 'No, it's a private audience for you and Emma - if you can get here NOW.'
"Before the phone hit the floor, me, Emma and our producers Nick and Del Boy were in a cab. We were ushered into a completely empty venue except for Paul, his full band and road crew. It was mind-boggling as we sat on comfy chairs with cool drinks in the middle of a giant arena listening to Paul and his super-slick band running through Beatles hits. I felt like Michael Jackson on a private visit to Harrods.
"Macca made us four help out on vocals and they even flashed our faces up on the big screens. I was on my mobile nonstop saying 'Guess where I am' and 'Can you hear that music? It's Macca live for four of us...' You can hear me and Emma's chat with Paul on the brekkie show in the next couple of weeks.
"I can't wait to see the London show on April 22 at Earl's Court (there may be a few tickets left but I doubt it). As long as I live I will never forget that day Macca played just for US.
