The St. Louis Post-Dispatch proclaims today that "Frisky McCartney Puts on a Stunning Show!" On Wednesday, Sir Paul ("in fine voice, fun, fresh and even a little frisky") played for nearly three-hours for about 15,000 fans at the St. Louis Savvis Center. Sir Paul had not performed in St. Louis since his 1993 Busch Stadium during his "Back in the U.S." tour.
As it was October 9th, Sir Paul asked the crowd to sing "Happy Birthday" (not the Beatles' "Birthday") in honor of John Lennon.
The Columbus Dispatch writes that during his concert last evening in the Value City Arena, Sir Paul paid tribute to John saying:"You know, sometimes when someone is alive you don't always say what you're thinking. You don't use the chances you have. That's what this song is about, an imaginary conversation between me and him."
