Sir Paul has decided to allow five of his paintings to remain at the Walker Gallery in Liverpool when his exhibition ends on Sunday. According to Julian Treuherz, keeper of the galleries:"The Art of Paul McCartney was a big hit with our visitors so we are delighted Sir Paul has let us keep five pictures on the show for an extra month."
Pictures staying include Big Mountain Face, Brains On Fire , Home Territory, Egypt Station, and Big Heart. These works will remain on exhibit until Monday, September 2, giving visitors to the Liverpool Beatles Festival this month an opportunity to view the paintings.
Sir Paul's exhibit has been a tremendous success for the Walker Gallery. The gallery has welcomed 42,876 visitors since the exhibition opened on May 23 - a 129% increase since last year.
