Today's Atlanta Journal and Constitution published a telephone interview Sir Paul granted to their reporter, Sonia Murray, from backstage at his recent Fleet Center performance in Boston. He told Ms. Murray that after losing Linda and George and witnessing the September 11 attacks on New York city:"I'm feeling a bit like Oprah lately. We all kind of let it out, which was one of the points of doing the "Driving USA" tour. I'm a guy who's lost quite a few people in his life, and with all that happened on Sept. 11, getting together and reflecting on the world can't help but be a hugely emotional affair.
"I still think we did a cool album that we are very much enjoying playing live. And now that we are out here promoting it, I believe radio is starting to pay attention and it could very well rechart.
"Understand, I am a positive thinker. I think all of us have known since we were 10 years old that bad things happen and nobody lasts forever. So we should all just try to enjoy the time allotted. Which is exactly what I'm doing."
