Updated May 1. Several British papers reported yesterday that Sir Paul has told his closest friends to "keep June 6 free."
The New York Post is reporting today that the wedding will take place at the East Hampton, Long Island home of Linda's younger brother, John Eastman. Mr. Eastman is Sir Paul attorney and manages his extensive business affairs. The Post further speculates that Mr. Eastman will serve as Sir Paul's best man at the wedding.
This evening, an American source speculated: "Heavily involving Linda's brother in the nuptials would make a great deal of sense. It would demonstrate that he remains devoted to Linda's memory and it would show that her family has no qualms about his marrying again."
Earlier reports stated that the wedding might take place on the beach in front of Sir Paul's Long Island estate in Amagansett. This evening Sir Paul's publicist said he could neither confirm nor deny any of these reports.
