It seems Sir Paul's appearance on this evening's edition of Access Hollywood was really a tease for next week's edition of Access Hollywood. Still, they showed some nice film clips from the Philadelphia concert - Sir Paul (and his freshly styled hair) on stage singing portions of Hello Good-bye, Back in the U.S.S.R., Can't Buy Me Love, and Freedom.
Access Hollywood's host, Pat O'Brien spoke of the tremendous success of the tour and asked Sir Paul if he expected to receive all this adulation during this tour."No, I didn't. You know... um ... you never do. You just put a tour together and you never know what to expect. You don't want too many high expectations."Pat O'Brien noted the audience's strong response to the song Freedom . He recalled that the Beatle's arrival in the United States shortly after the assassination of President Kennedy turned out to be a therapy session for the world. Is this happening again?"We didn't set out to do that, but I think we're in the right place at the right time."Then we were left with a promise that next Thursday, in an exclusive McCartney one-on-one, Sir Paul will talk about George Harrison, John Lennon, love and marriage, and McCartney-mania, plus he'll share a couple of rare Beatles stories with us including one about what happened to Penny Lane. So, please stay tuned.
