Tomorrow, Buckingham Palace will launch the official promotion for the June 3 royal pop concert which will feature a performance by Sir Paul McCartney. Today it was announced that in both Prince William and Prince Harry will join Queen Elizabeth on stage during concert.
The event is being promoted by an irreverent, one minute commercial staring Rowan Atkinson (a.k.a. Mr. Bean) as Sir Osmund Darling-Blackadder, Keeper of the Queen's Lawn Sprinklers. In the short film, the knight is determined to talk the Queen out of allowing thousands of subjects to invade the Palace gardens for the concerts. The appearance of the ad this week will coincide with the launch of a concert ticket hotline. All regions of Britain have been allocated tickets in order to insure that the concerts will have a truly representative audience. Ticket holders will not only have the opportunity to see Sir Paul perform live. They will also receive a special picnic hamper complete a half-bottle of champagne.
