From May 24 - August 4, Liverpool's Walker Art Gallery will host the first major exhibition of paintings, photographs and sculpture of Sir Paul McCartney. This will be a much larger exhibition than his previous shows in Germany, Bristol, and New York city. According to the gallery's curator, Michael Simpson, "Many of the paintings in the show are new and have never been previously exhibited or published. They reflect different periods in the artist's life, his music, his humor." A spokesperson for the gallery said, "He used to visit the Walker with John Lennon. We're delighted to be able to put on the exhibition."
