Ringo Starr appeared on ABC television's Access Hollywood program this evening to dispel the rummers about George Harrison's failing health and to share some exciting news about some forthcoming Beatle activities. Speaking from Toronto, Canada where he's preparing to launch a 28-date North American tour with his All Starr Band, Ringo stated:
"I did see George a few weeks ago and he was fine. And if it had been bad, he would have told me. All these years we've been around - you have to watch what's in the press. I didn't panic because I wait 'til it becomes reality. I mean, the news is real when either Paul calls me or George calls me and says, 'This is what it is'. And we do that to each other. We say, 'Watch out. Something's happened. They'll be calling you', because that's what happens. Everybody still thinks we have this one body with three heads!"Ringo also revealed that he'll be meeting with Paul and George in October to plan some big Beatles projects:
"There are two ... there's a couple of projects in the works and nothing will be out 'til next year. We're all going to meet up again in October to finalize what it will be. You know, everybody wants a Number 2."
