So sad. Abbey Road is no longer tidy enough to cross, even when one is wearing shoes. Today London's Evening Standard published a photo of the world's most famous bare foot Abbey Road street crosser picking up litter near the famous intersection. It seems Sir Paul and Heather Mills were waiting to cross Finchley Road near the Wellington Hospital in St. John's Wood, when they found themselves stormed with rubbish swirling around their feet. Deciding not to let it be, they stooped down and started collecting and disposing of it in the nearby litter bins. And what did the Westminster Council have to say about their distinguished street cleaners? "It is always heartening when local people help to clear up litter others have left behind."
