The proposed release date of the album "Flaming Pie" is most likely to change from May 20 in the United States.
According to Beatlefan, at one point it was considered to change to the 13th of May. [Editor's note: a report here earlier this month was based on a mis-quote that was posted in rec.music.beatles, and it was not entirely correct. We apologize to William P. King, publisher of Beatlefan, for any inconvenience]. However, meanwhile I've heard from two different sources (including someone quoting William B. King) that it is now considered to shift it one week back to 27th of May.
To make things even more complicated, a Norwegian source cites EMI Norway reporting that the release date there will be May 5th. This would probably apply for whole Europe. As usual - read with care [which is stated on top of this page]. Things here are not sold to you as facts, and nowhere it is said that you can read them here first. This is only a collection of recent reports/rumors. And: this is only one file out of 2,500 of my two sites.
Footnote: In the news item of earlier this month which was in fact a quote of someone mis-quoting Beatlefan, I added my opinion that Beatlefan has not been very reliable in the recent past. This was not meant as an attack on Beatlefan in general. I apologize if this phrase was being misleading. Beatlefan is one of the invaluable sources in the Beatleworld. The "not very reliable" was meant in the sense of "not totally reliable" - which is a fact, as Beatlefan/Extra! had reported on a new Beatles recording "Cry For A Shadow" late last year which was just not correct, no matter if one of their sources was lying, or if this information was given out quickly without getting approval first which some posts in rec.music.beatles suggested. This has been several months ago but in Beatles terms this is recent, as usually we're talking about things that happened decades ago. Anyway, I've been heavily attacked by Beatlefan publisher William P. King - he kept sending emails every day while I was away with VARIOUS THREATS. From slamming me in his publications to forcing my service provider to shut down my site or just "taking action against me" - everything was there. He came up with more and more mean arguments against me which he seemed to have made up on-the-fly and kept implying things about my sites which are just made up and not founded on rational thoughts. Anyway, he blew the whole thing out of proportion and he's likely to come up with something in his publications. But I feel the threats were nothing but showing how MEAN this man can be. Hey man, I'm a Beatles and especially Paul McCartney fan. A fan summarizing info for other fans (which still is only 1/2500th of what I present here and I can't understand that anyone's daring to make such an issue out of it).-->
Anyway, I have no doubts about the real intentions behind the threats of trying to force my site shut down. Feel free to write to me or to him - but do not insult anyone. Apropos free - that's what access to my site is.
